Wedding of Kat and Matt was held at Hughbury Hall, one of the finest wedding venues in Birmingham. Despite late autumn, the weather on the wedding day was great, sunny and dry, just perfect for photographing the couple and their guests on the Highbury Hall grounds. The hall is also amazing inside. If you plan to choose the venue for your wedding, take the opportunity to use its exquisite rooms for bride and groom preparations.
There are many things to note about the wedding. First of all, Kat had a gorgeous wedding dress; the flowers and bridesmaids dresses were matching the pink-green theme of the wedding. The music for the wedding day was chosen very carefully as well: the ceremony was accompanied by live music played by a jazz trio; the evening party – by a band where Matt used to play in the past. Hopefully, the photos have reflected the fantastic atmosphere of Kat and Matt’s wedding day.
Following the recent pre-wedding shoot of Alona and Dmitriy, I’m now glad to share with you their wedding photographs.
The guys have chosen beautiful Dudley Hall for their ceremony. There is a great park next to it with everything you need for a wonderful wedding photo shoot. The wedding’s theme was purple orchids; I like when brides wear colourful shoes and this was exactly the case here.
As the day went along, the weather was changing from bright sunshine to overcast with thick clouds and this also helped us to create variety of pictures.
Alona and Dmitriy, it was pleasure to photograph you and to capture your wedding’s atmosphere. All the very best to you!
Wedding of Varsha and Amit was held at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham, in best traditions of Indian Hindu weddings. The celebrations commenced from the Baraat – Amit’s arrival on a horse, accompanied by happy music, family and friends. Then the Milne, Varsha’s family welcoming Amit’s family, followed by civil ceremony and the Hindu ceremony itself held at the mandap.
The day proceeded with a first dance, cake cutting and wedding dinner followed by dancing. The final part of the day was another Asian wedding tradition, Vidai, when Varsha officially leaves her family with her husband. This was a very emotional part of the wedding day as you can find from the photographs.
Photography of the wedding day was mostly done in reportage style because lots of traditions were involved and it was important to capture the atmosphere and emotions. We also had few minutes to photograph Varsha and Amit on they own and this added to the variety of pictures.
Varsha and Amit, all the very best to you! That was a great experience and pleasure to witness and photograph your happy wedding day!
Becky and Alex chose a great place to get married – Nailcote Hall Hotel, a small and cosy wedding venue with its own golf course, located just at the outskirts of Birmingham. Beautiful grounds and the hall itself, as well as the ceremony room, were ideal to take wedding pictures of the couple.
Both the bride and the groom were relaxed and joyful throught the whole day and this mood was sent to the guests creating excellent wedding atmosphere. The weather was also there to help the wedding day to be a memorable sunny day. Many little and cute wedding details and decorations, such as cake and signature frame were adding to the atmosphere of the day.
Becky and Alex were up to any photographic idea allowing us to take great variety of their wedding pictures at the grounds, in front of and inside of the hall. The hotel staff were very helpful, amongst other things suggesting to the couple to have a ride on a golf car 🙂
Becky and Alex, it was great pleasure to photograph your wedding day and previously your pre-wedding session – wishing you all the very best!
George and James first met each other at the University of Birmingham and this was not surprising that they’ve decided to have their pre-wedding pictures taken at the Uni campus, next to the Clock Tower. Many trees at the campus were blooming in purple which suited very well to the George and James’ outfit colours.
During the second part of the photoshoot we organised a small picnic, and the guys, again, prepared very well with a small bottle of wine and some snacks. James’ guitar playing added more romantic atmosphere to this relaxed and sunny afternoon in one of Birmingham’s parks. At the end George decided to take some lessons from James, so they played with George pulling the strings and James putting the chords – they did it very well together 🙂
The atmosphere and weather during the shoot were great, we all had a good fun and even managed to get some sunny pictures – see the photos in this post.
This post continues a series of our autumn photo shoots. This time I would like to share with you pre-wedding session of Tia and Jessary, a very cheerful and lively couple.
This pre-wedding shoot was a very special and I’ll tell you why. Tia and Jessary are originally from Taiwan. According to Taiwanese traditions, a pre-wedding shoot is a very important part of the wedding – in fact, in terms of photography the couple treats the pre-wedding shoot as the most important day of their wedding. So we had the whole day dedicated to photography!!
Tia and Jessary prepared very well for this day: a few different dresses and accessories for Tia, two suites for Jessary and many other small things. As for location, they chose several places in the West Midlands: University of Birmingham, Blenheim Palace and Birmingham City Centre.
Despite few rain drops, the weather was kind to us, the autumn colours were just astonishing and the atmosphere during the photoshoot was just amazing! Tia, Jessary, thank you very much for your time, smiles and excellent mood during the day!
Becky and Alex really like pets – so much that they decided to have their pre-wedding shoot with their dog Darcy (we could not take all of the pets to the shoot 🙂 ). That was something really interesting to do and so we got together at Birmingham suburbs one afternoon for the shoot. Darcy, a very friendly dog, was running around Becky and Alex and it was sometimes not very easy to capture her still 🙂
During the shoot we had dramatically changing weather from blue sky to dark rain clouds but we were prepared for this and did not stop when rain started. Becky and Alex were rewarded with a beautiful rainbow as you can see on the pictures. Thank you guys for not being afraid of that rainy weather!
