It was a great pre-wedding photo shoot with a very pleasant couple, Louise and Neil who will get married in September. This time we’ve decided to go to beautiful Elvaston Castle Park near Derby, and were actually quite lucky to catch warm and sunny weather in the middle of a row of cold and rainy days.
Elvaston Castle Park always has some interesting places like the one we’ve found – a log and a bench made of a log were unusual props for some of the pictures.
Louse and Neil were in excellent mood and prepared for the shoot very well – they brought a nice cakes stand and had a little picnic during the shoot. They’ve even got special umbrellas but the weather this time was on our side.
Wedding photos of Claire and Rob at Hotel Van Dyk
Following Claire and Rob’s pre-wedding shoot back in November last year, it was pleasure to photograph their Wedding Day in April.
For the ceremony, Claire and Rob chose beautiful St Matthews Church of Boughton; the rest of the wedding day was held at stylish Hotel Van Dyk near by Clowne. Every detail of the wedding day was unique: Rob’s cufflinks and watches, Claire’s dress was stunning, as well as coral dresses of the bridesmaids. Claire’s make-up and hair style were just perfect. An elegant and luxurious Rolls-Royce car also added to the great atmosphere of the wedding day.
Thanks to the weather, few showers with sunny spells, the nature was full of dramatic colours that were captured at Claire and Rob’s pictures. With specially prepared umbrellas, few showers did not ruin the wedding day and the atmosphere during the whole day was just amazing.
Here are some pictures from Claire and Rob’s wedding day.
Birmingham pre-wedding photo shoot of George and James
George and James first met each other at the University of Birmingham and this was not surprising that they’ve decided to have their pre-wedding pictures taken at the Uni campus, next to the Clock Tower. Many trees at the campus were blooming in purple which suited very well to the George and James’ outfit colours.
During the second part of the photoshoot we organised a small picnic, and the guys, again, prepared very well with a small bottle of wine and some snacks. James’ guitar playing added more romantic atmosphere to this relaxed and sunny afternoon in one of Birmingham’s parks. At the end George decided to take some lessons from James, so they played with George pulling the strings and James putting the chords – they did it very well together![]()
The atmosphere and weather during the shoot were great, we all had a good fun and even managed to get some sunny pictures – see the photos in this post.
Derby portrait photo shoot of Sarah and Chris
We photographed the wedding of Sarah and Chris last year and it was pleasure to see and photograph them again. This time this was a portrait photoshoot in the city centre of Derby which we believe has a special character.
We were all lucky with the warm and sunny weather, very unusual for the end of March. This naturally helped to get this summer look of the pictures.
Many thanks to Sarah and Chris for their time and preparation. We had a great time photographing you in this casual and friendly atmosphere in that fantastic sunny weather.
Family photo shoot of Rachel and Colin
The family photo shoot of Rachel, Colin and their lovely kids Emma and Sam, we decided to organise in Markeaton Park in Derby. The kids were in excellent mood, running around with endless energy and curiosity to things happening around. Although intially we planned more pictures of the family together, we soon realised that it is not easy to bring kids together and make them still (not to mention looking in the direction of the camera
).
Anyway, we are very pleased about the result – natural and lovely family lifestyle photographs. Many thanks to Rachel and Colin for excellent preparation and to Emma and Sam for being so good during the shoot!

Indian pre-wedding photos of Varsha and Amit at Stratford upon Avon
This post is for a pre-wedding photo shoot that we did just a week ago. This was a very romantic photo session in a beautiful city of Stratford-upon-Avon where Amit and Varsha first met many years ago and now were back to recollect their memories.
The shoot was done as a little romantic story depicting their meeting, walk and a dance in a gazebo in the light of a sunset.
Guys, many thanks to both of you for your great mood and for preparing so well for the shoot!

Pre-wedding photos in Van Dyk Hotel – Claire and Rob
Because Claire and Rob will get married next spring, we decided that it would be great to do their pre-wedding shoot in autumn, so that to capture the beautiful golden colours of this time of year…
This photo shoot was done in the begining of November. To be honest, we thought that the weather could be worse and decided to choose for the shoot their wedding venue, Van Dyk Hotel, which has beautiful grounds in front and very interesting interior. Luckily, the weather on that day was absolutely stunning – a sunny day with beautiful blue sky so we’ve taken a few pictures in inside the hotel and then went out for some photos around the hotel.
Claire, Rob, thanks for the good preparation for the shoot – We can’t wait to photograph your wedding day!
Pre-wedding photographs of Tia and Jessary
This post continues a series of our autumn photo shoots. This time I would like to share with you pre-wedding session of Tia and Jessary, a very cheerful and lively couple.
This pre-wedding shoot was a very special and I’ll tell you why. Tia and Jessary are originally from Taiwan. According to Taiwanese traditions, a pre-wedding shoot is a very important part of the wedding – in fact, in terms of photography the couple treats the pre-wedding shoot as the most important day of their wedding. So we had the whole day dedicated to photography!!
Tia and Jessary prepared very well for this day: a few different dresses and accessories for Tia, two suites for Jessary and many other small things. As for location, they chose several places in the West Midlands: University of Birmingham, Blenheim Palace and Birmingham City Centre.
Despite few rain drops, the weather was kind to us, the autumn colours were just astonishing and the atmosphere during the photoshoot was just amazing! Tia, Jessary, thank you very much for your time, smiles and excellent mood during the day!
Pre-wedding photos of Lucy and Alex
Lucy and Alex were photographed in two different places, different outfits. At first location, Elvaston Castle Country Park nearby Derby, Lucy and Alex were dressed a bit more formally – the atmosphere at these pictures is more romantic. The second part of the session was done at another Derby park, this time guys were in casual.
As you can see, we had lots of fun during the shoot. Lucy, Alex, thanks for your lively mood – that was great to photograph you!
